NICU Sew Day
In-PersonTwice a year a group of volunteers meet and spend a day sewing blankets and sheets for the littlest patients in UK Hospital. These blankets and sheets are donated to the babies and children that are spending time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and UK Children's Hospital Pediatric Departments to use during their stay, and to take home with them after their discharge. We are always accepting extra hands, as well as donations of fabric, and quilt batting for this project.

Event Description
Twice a year a group of volunteers meet, and spend a day sewing blankets and sheets for the littlest patients in UK Hospital. This project was started by to bring a little joy, and comfort to the babies and their families spending time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Kentucky, and some also go to the UK Children's Hospital Pediatric Departments. At the end of their stay, patients get to take their blankets home with them as well. We are always accepting donations of fabric, quilt batting and volunteers for this project. Projects can also be completed at home, and brought into our office to donate year-round. If you are interested in helping with this project, call our office at (606) 256-2403.
